NineStar Studios is a Thai entertainment company known for producing Sapphic (girl-love) series and managing artists within this genre. They began in late 2023 by scouting for actresses to star in their upcoming series “Blank the Series,” a sapphic series based on the novel of the same name. The series touched on age-gap relationships, the complexities of family, trauma, and more by telling the love story of thirty-six year old “Nueng” and twenty year old “Anueng.” The series gained immense popularity among audiences, particularly due to the starring actresses Faye Peraya (who played “Nueng”) and Yoko Apasra (who played “Anueng”). The company also has recently engaged in talent scouting initiatives, such as "The Newbie by NineStar Studios," aiming to discover new artists for future projects.

​Ninestar Studios was founded by Siripun Wongsawan (Wan), who began as the owner and CEO. Following the finale of Blank the Series in June of 2024, Ninestar Studios announced that they would be looking for new executives to take over a few positions, including a new CEO so that Wan could focus on the creative side of the company. Wan would remain in position as owner and CEO of Ninestar, where she received backlash on multiple occasions for the company’s mishandlings, until February 3rd of 2025, where it was announced that a new interim CEO by the name of Nitcharee Nitinavakorn (Nani) would be taking over. Nani stated that as interim CEO her goal would be to grow the company rapidly through developmental strategies and restructuring the organization.

Ninestar Studios gained recognition for producing the successful series, "Blank The Series," which garnered a substantial fan base and positive attention, becoming the most viewed GL series of 2024. They won an award for Best Series and through their GL pairing FayeYoko, won Best Couple on multiple occasions. However, NineStar Studios has also faced controversies, including internal staff changes, disputes over artist pairings, and concerns regarding their treatment of their talents as well as their talents’ supporters. These developments highlight an ongoing period of turmoil, marked by internal disputes, external boycotts, and legal battles that have impacted its reputation and operations within the entertainment industry.
